"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,

let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,

and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

                                                         Hebrews 12:1

Embracing the Wait

The path leading to publication is a long, winding, gravel road with uncountable potholes, felled trees, and dark shadows. The best place to learn about faith and life. Come join me on this rocky road as I follow the path God has laid out for me and embrace the wait.

Music sung well tells a story.

A story told well sings a song.

Never think that God's delays are God's denials.

Hold on; hold fast; hold out.

Collecting "No's"

A common belief among writers is that we need to develop a thick skin.

But, how do you not take it personally when your loved & slaved-over manuscript is continually rejected?

One way is to turn those "No's" into a positive.

From here on in, my goal is to collect at least 100 "No's."

Chances are, along the way, I'll get that elusive "Yes!"

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Phillippians 3:13-14
