A few weeks back my husband and I took our kids on their dream vacation: a trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. This park is known for its plethora of roller coasters–15, I believe–many of which are extreme. My four kids (that includes my husband) LOVE extreme coasters.
Take, for example, Top Thrill Dragster. This ride shoots you from 0 – 120 mph in less than 4 seconds and propels you nearly straight up a 420 foot climb before you curve over the top and hurtle face-forward to the ground. Sound like fun? My kids think so. Admittedly, I sat and watched this ride.
Their other favorite ride was Millennium Force. This coaster drags the riders 310 feet into the air before angling downward at an 80 degree angle, hitting speeds up to 93 miles per hour. Now that’s extreme fun!
I won’t bore you with further details. Pictures tell the story best.

What great fun, Brenda! I absolutely love riding roller coasters. I’m not allowed to any longer, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Thanks for sharing your family’s adventure!
Oh how sad that you can’t ride coasters anymore. 🙁
I enjoy them, but not as much as I used to. I can ride one once and be done, but the kids will ride numerous times. For me it’s more fun watching the family enjoy themselves.
