“Love the Lord your God with all your HEART and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5
Obeying that passage isn’t as easy as it sounds. That verse is telling me to put God in first place in all situations. It’s telling me to look up instead of inward, and then He’ll take care of the heart from there.
When I think about it, it’s when I’m too focused on myself that the cravings come. It’s when “I” becomes more important than God that “I” resist taking that necessary walk. It’s when “I” am too concerned with what others think, that I hesitate pressing on.
All that really matters, is what God thinks. Whatever I do, it’s important that I do it with all my heart. He’ll take care of the rest.

Amen. Again.
Yes, it seems so simple, so easy, so right. But unfortunately I find my “default” is set on “I,” and it’s too easy and feels way too right. Sigh.
