Prolific, award-winning author Tracie Peterson was in town last night promoting her latest release, THE ICECUTTER’S DAUGHTER–the first in a three book series based in Minnesota (Land of Shining Water series). For an entire week now, she’s been braving our inhospitable Minnesota spring, while touring the state. Her last events are today (Grand Forks, ND at 11:30 and Moorhead, MN at 3), which is perfect since our forecasters tell us we’re in another Winter Storm Warning. (sigh)
Well, despite the horrendous greeting our state’s weather has given Tracie and her husband Jim, she seemed thrilled to be here.
I hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting Tracie before, and I do mean pleasure. What a beautiful, gracious, sharing woman of God! In the middle of a Barnes and Noble, she unapologetically talked about her faith, said that’s at the core of what she writes. Love that!
Tracie also talked about the 90+ books she’s, written. (90? How does someone write that many novels?) She shared her experiences with hands-on research, which had us laughing. She glowed about working with Judith Miller, Judith Pella, James Scott Bell, and now Kimberly Woodhouse. She helped promote ACFW and our local chapter, MN NICE. And so much more.
It was a very enjoyable evening, and I feel blessed to have met Tracie.
