While there are many organizations that present awards within Christian fiction, in my opinion, the Christy Awards are the premier organization. When the nominees are announced every year, no doubt I’ll have already read a number of those titles, often placing them on a Favorites’ list. This year was no exception. I’m disappointed that two of my favorite authors (and friends) John Otte and Laura Frantz didn’t win in their category, but I’m thrilled that they were nominees. It’s definitely an honor to be nominated.
Congratulations to all the 2013 Christy Award Winners!

Hallo Ms. Anderson! 🙂
Sorry it took me a bit to return,… in a moment I’m going to leave you a compliment on another post of yours, but I wanted to say, that there are a few books on here that I’ve been itching to read for quite awhile now! My library did acquire Ms. Heizmann’s book which I am thrilled about because I was quite curious about how the story would play out,… as much as I have been attempting to read Into the Free as I enjoy Ms. Cantrell’s group blog: Southern Belle View Daily.
I just might have to read them in a big *batch!* of Christy & INSPY Award winners!! The books would be as follows: The Breath of Dawn, Into the Free, Against the Tide, and My Stubborn Heart.
Hi Jorie,
I’ve read–and highly recommend–all those with the exception of Against the Tide. Though I’m not typically a historical fiction reader, I’m willing to try anything that’s well-written.
